A kind-hearted gesture by the Burry Port Male Voice Choir has meant that a community group in Burry Port has received a bumper cheque to continue with their work.

Speaking to Llanelli Online after the presentation  Lee Fox said: “A huge thank you to Howard Cox from The Burry Port Male Voice Choir. Presenting The Community Friendship Group with a cheque for £400 on their first birthday.

“This is a huge sum for us and will help to buy a projector which we need for future talks with our guest line ups.

“We also have a team of volunteers behind the scenes who make every week happen. We supply teas, coffees and sandwiches.

“Our anniversary today was celebrated in style and were blessed by The Band Crows Foot Ferryside.

“There were no cost involved and the band played a variety of music old and new. We even had a few Welsh songs that went down a treat.”
