THE Fire and Rescue service are tackling a blaze on a mountain near Mynyddygarreg.
A vast are of scrubland is alight with smoke and ash descending on homes in the surrounding area.
The smoke can be seen for some distance.

Walkers on the footpaths said that at least three fire crews from Tumble, Pontyates and Kidwelly were dealing with the blaze.
In a separate incident in the usually quiet village of Mynyddygarreg the famous donkeys from the yard of ‘Mike’s Donkeys’ did a runner having escaped temporarily but have now been ushered back to their fields.
