A 20-year-old man has been fined £50 for assaulting a police constable in the line of her duty.
Thomas Bruce Daniel of Allt Y Cnap in Carmarthen appeared before Carmarthenshire Magistrates’ Court sitting at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (Sep 13).
The court heard that on the 28th of August 2018, Daniel had assaulted PC 176 Contrary to section 89(1) of the Police Act 1996 whilst she was on duty in Carmarthen.
Taking his guilty plea into account Evans was fined £80 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £85. No compensation was ordered to be paid to the victim as there were no ‘visible’ or lasting injuries.
