ARUMBA Llan fitness group have raised and amazing £5,000, which they have kindly donated to Prince Phillip Hospital.
Nia Gibbs Managing Director said:
“This year has been a challenge for the group due to the fact that most of our fundraising comes from fitness classes and various charity events held annually”.
The groups’ generous donation was split between the ICU unit and a charity called WORLD (respiratory charity for young people).
Nia Gibbs said:
“I believe these funds are greatly required by the hospital and it is a chance for Arumba Llan to thank the tireless work of the staff and a tribute to their selflessness during this precarious climate.”
“It is also of great pride that we have members of Arumba Llan who are employees at PPH.”
Professor Kier Lewis and The Board of Trustees for WORLD, thanked Arumba Llan fitness class for their amazing effort. The money will fund a part-time co-ordinator for the charity.
Nia Gibbs and Teresa Owens presented the cheque to WORLD at a socially distanced presentation in February.
Nia Gibbs also went on to thank Teresa Owens:
“A massive thank you to Teresa Owens for helping me with the donations and presentations.”
