Dyfed-Powys Police have released a statement regarding the attendance of armed officers at the Asda store in Llanelli on Monday (Apr17).
The statement reads: Dyfed-Powys Police responded to a report of people holding what appeared to be a gun on Copperworks Road, Llanelli. The call was received at approximately 4.30pm on Monday, April 17.
No members of the public were threatened or harmed during this incident.
Firearms officers approached the group outside the Llanelli Asda store. An object was recovered and is currently being examined.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of possession of imitation firearms and remain in police custody pending further investigation.
