DYFED-Powys Police have confirmed that the body of a man found on a beach in Instow, North Devon, is that of missing man Gary Shepherd-Mason from Carmarthen.
The body was found on Thursday (Jan 17).
Formal identification has now taken place and it has been confirmed that this is Mr Shepherd-Mason.
His family have been updated and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
Mr Shepherd-Mason had been missing since Thursday, November 15.
Superintendent Gary Mills said: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of Gary Shepherd-Mason. Since reported missing extensive searches were carried out and appeals made to try to find him.
“On behalf of Dyfed-Powys Police I pass my deepest sympathy to his family.”
