The story of the market trader Stephen Phillips and his links to ‘the real’ James Bond went around the world. You heard it first here on Llanelli Online though. Since then there has been much speculation from people far and wide as to the legitimacy of the claims. Only one man would know for sure and he died in 1964. He was Ian Lancaster Fleming, the author of the James Bond novels.
Our man with the golden pen Mark Jennings interpreted that story for us here with a splendid cartoon depicting Broccoli Bond in the market surrounded by spies including ‘Baldfella’ Ron Cant. You might recognise some others in here too.
