COMMUNITY groups in Burry Port have scooped cash awards following their online submissions.
Groups, clubs and organisations applied for funding up to a maximum of £2000.
Applications were checked to ensure they met the criteria.
Successful applicants were required to create a video presentation/pitch for the community. This was presented to the community during the event.
The event was held online due to the current restrictions in place.
The community and other groups were in attendance online and they voted on the projects being presented to them.
Votes were collated via a poll system used during the event, and the winning projects were announced on Saturday (Nov 14).
The organisation Team Burry Port and Pembrey commented: “A huge thank you to everyone who managed to join us this evening.
“This was a first for everyone, the organisers, the volunteers, the bidders, and even for you the community, having to join us online.
“This is the first Participatory Bugeting event we have held and we’re so proud of every one of our bidders adapting and creating such fantastic videos.
