A huge amount of preparation has gone into an event in Dafen, which is aimed at remembering the Great War and the men from the village who died in conflict.
County Councillor Rob Evans and George Parker have been working with a number of people to make a commemorative booklet containing details of the soldiers from Dafen.
So far the Dafen councillor has managed to establish a memorial garden, two specially designed memorial benches and an interpretive board detailing the names of all the soldiers from Dafen who fell during the Great War.
Their names, photos and details of where they served and died will be prominently displayed for all to see.
A special church service will take place at Dafen Church on Sunday November 4th. It will be followed by a service at the Memorial Garden and refreshments at the Dafen Hall.
The work has been supported by a number of local businesses and the research has been conducted by Steven John of West Wales War Memorials.
