First Minister Carwyn Jones AM has officially submitted his notice of intent to resign with the date of December 11th 2018.
In a letter sent to Margaret Thomas the Chair of the Welsh Labour Executive Committee the First Minster states that he will wait until after FM’s Questions on December 11th to allow his successor a short period after any discussions which may be needed prior to the nomination being placed before the Assembly on Wednesday 12th December.
The race for new Labour leader and First Minister has taken twists and turns in recent days including the intent by Carwyn Jones to lend his nomination to ensure a woman is placed on the ballot paper.
The First Minister can expect more robust questions before he takes the comfy seat as AM representing his constituency of Bridgend.
