A 32-year-old woman from Carmarthen has had to pay out over £800 for breaking the restrictions to take a dog for a walk at Amroth.

The court heard that On 04/05/2020 at the A477 near Amroth turning, without reasonable excuse, during the emergency period, Miss Zoe Lynne Hopkins of 41 Russell Terrace, Carmarthen left or remained away from the place where she was living, having travelled from her home address in Carmarthen to Pembrokeshire in order to walk a dog. Contrary to regulations 8(1) and 12(1)(b) & (4) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (Wales) Regulations 2020.

Hopkins was fined £660 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66 and costs of £85.
