DYWEDODD Jill Paterson, Cyfarwyddwr Gofal Sylfaenol, Gofal Cymunedol a Thymor Hir a Ros Jervis, Cyfarwyddwr Iechyd y Cyhoedd ym Mwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Hywel Dda: “Efallai eich bod yn ymwybodol o gyhoeddiad a wnaed gan Lywodraeth Cymru y bydd brechiadau ffliw am ddim nawr i bobl 50 oed i 64 oed.

“Byddwch yn amyneddgar tra bod ein cydweithwyr mewn meddygfeydd teulu a fferyllfeydd cymunedol yn cynllunio ar gyfer y newid yma. Gofynnwn yn garedig i chi beidio â chysylltu â’ch meddyg teulu neu fferyllfa gymunedol ar hyn o bryd ynghylch y brechlyn ffliw.

“Byddwn yn darparu diweddariad cyn gynted â phosibl gyda gwybodaeth am sut y gall pobl gael gafael ar y brechlyn ac o ble – ond byddwch yn ymwybodol efallai na fydd y brechlyn ffliw ar gael ar gyfer y grŵp cymwys newydd hwn o’n holl feddygfeydd teulu neu fferyllfeydd cymunedol. Bydd eglurhad yn cael ei ddarparu cyn gynted â phosibl.

“Sylwch, os ydych chi rhwng 50 oed a 64 oed â chyflwr iechyd tymor hir ac eisoes wedi derbyn gwahoddiad i dderbyn brechlyn ffliw, ewch ati i drefnu eich apwyntiad yn unol â chais eich meddyg teulu.”

JILL Paterson, Director of Primary Care, Community and Long Term Care and Ros Jervis, Director of Public Health at Hywel Dda University Health Board said: “You may be aware of an announcement made by the Welsh Government that free flu vaccinations will now be made available to people aged 50yrs to 64yrs.

“Please be patient while our colleagues in GP practices and Community Pharmacies plan for this extension. We kindly ask that you do not contact your GP or Community Pharmacy at this time regarding the flu vaccine.

“We will provide an update as soon as possible with information about how people can access the vaccine and from where – but please be aware the flu vaccine may not be available for this new eligible group from all our GP practices or Community Pharmacies. Clarification will be provided as soon as possible.
