SCARLETS managed to hold off their Welsh rivals Ospreys in a tense and fiery local derby at Parc Y Scarlets on Saturday (Oct 6).

Tries from Johnny McNicholl and Rhys Patchell along with 10 points from the boot of Leigh Halfpenny was enough for Scarlets to claim the victory.

Ospreys scored three tries from Cory Allen, former Scarlet George North and Luke Morgan with Sam Davies converting one.

Final score: Scarlets 20 – 17 Ospreys
