Pontyates dispense with visiting Pontardawe

PONTYATES managed an impressive victory over visiting Pontardawe on Saturday (Apr 28).

The home side were without their captain Jamie Cooper. Readers will remember that he broke his leg in a game against Cefneithin.

A decent home crowd and visiting fans gathered to watch the game on what was in rugby circles Judgement Day in Cardiff.

Here in the Gwendraeth the judgement was that Pontyates were declared undoubted winners of a fiercely contested game of rugby.

The match finished Pontyates 23 – Pontardawe 6
