SWIMMERS from the City of Swansea Aquatics travelled to Llanelli Leisure Centre on Sunday (Mar 10) to compete against local swimming teams.
Hayley Baker head coach of the Swansea Aquatics programme explained: “The meet held and run by Llanelli Swimming club gives younger swimmers in the club a great way to gain some race experience locally, having fun and developing skills.
“The coaches have been working with swimmers on things from starts, turns and technical work to ‘fine tuning’ and race skills.”
Swansea swimmers didn’t disappoint bringing back 45 Golds, 46 Silver and 38 Bronze medals in the one day of racing.
Rhys Thomas-Burgess, performance coach at the club said: “The swimmers were absolutely brilliant throughout the day delivering fast swims with tough competition, we are all proud of our swimmers”
The club is celebrating its centenary year offering local swimmers of all ages and abilities to complete under the Swansea banner over the years.

Girls 16 & Over; Elizabeth Arnold – 100m Freestyle, Niamh Jones- 100m Breastroke, 200m Indivdual Medley. Boys 9; Cody Johns – 50m Backstroke.
