Carmarthenshire County Unison will be out campaigning in Carmarthen town centre this Saturday from 10.00am. We are campaigning along with the National Education Union against the decision of Plaid led Carmarthenshire County Council to have a standstill budget for schools.
When inflation is taken into account (RPI 4%) a so called standstill budget equates to serious and significant cuts that will put hundreds of school support and teachers jobs at risk and serious erode the quality of education children receive.
We will take this message to the public and call on them to support and join our campaign to get the council to reverse this decision.
Our branch will also be supporting the LGBT and campaign event on Saturday in Carmarthen called in order put pressure on the council to show solidarity in action with the LGBT and community by flying the rainbow flag
